also the the second question is has anyone fitted a garret42 turbo to their car and if so is it just a straight swap.

1.The turbo fitted to the ba and bf models is the garrett gt3582r with .5 compressor cover and 1.06 internally wastegated rear housing.

2.I have fitted quite a few gt42 turbos and it is anything but a straight swap, you need to remake everything.

so in your opion would it be worth the while of going to the trouble of getting the gt42 and fitting it, not trying to make a dyno queen or chase any number down the 1/4 mile just a very quick daily driver. Currently have 324rwkw at the moment trying for 350-370 till I can afford to upgrade the clutch again, then who knows.

Stick with the stocker if your not wanting more than 400wkws... unless your like me and just like having a huge turbo lol

the stocker will make 350-370 easy with the right supporting mods

Well I would love to have a big fat turbo but I was also throwing up the idea also of getting some 60lb injectors and a plenum of yourself only one will win out and I suppose the turbo will set me back a lot more than a bigger turbo.

Roughly what price range was it for the gt42 and fitting it.
