My first XR6T was 12 weeks (They quoted 6)

BF Tryphhon was 9 weeks (they quoted 8)

The GT-E was sitting in the dealership, so it was under a week.

Once you get it the delivery time will quickly be forgotten.

Sign of the times...reduced staffing in all suppliers, reduced shift times. Keep the line moving but at a reduced speed rather than filling the yards with unsold stock.

In the end if it means the blue oval survives then we need to accept the delays. At least Ford got off their asses and did the hard work before the deck or cards tumbled as they are still in a far better place than GM and Chrysler.

Took 4 weeks for my order/build on an FG 6T ute.

Putting it that way, I'll be happy to wait rather than see them go bust. Very good point hdj80

Hey MartyF I understand where your coming from mate. It's not XR6T but we ordered a New Fiesta back in mid Feb told end of March "cool no worries".

End of March comes and goes. Rang the dealer the other day and we were told end of April. Let’s wait and see hey.

Ford should over estimate the delivery date to be on the safe side and have a happy costumer in the long run rather than an unhappy one. Plus if the car arrivals before estimated delivery date bonus for both party’s and one very happy costumer.

That’s my 2 cents.

Enjoy the car when it arrivals mate. What colour did you pick?

:nerd:

a friend of mine has been waiting 3 months for her new Feista sports.... every time its "due" its pushed back atleast 3 more weeks.

shes more than fed up let me tell you.

Demand for Fiestas has gone through the roof with the new model. Even in Europe where they are getting pummelled with the GFC and car sales are down a ridiculous amount, they can still not build enough of them to keep up with demand. It has been a massive success for Ford.
