I have converted back.

My VXS Late model camira has been officially undervalued and traded in on a new XR6T. I have searched the site and seen some changes, tips and tricks that you all have done to your cars upon receiving them. ( such as putting film on the fog lights to prevent cracks ). Are there any more. I would love to be pro-active upon receipt of the car, rather than learn things the hard way.

The first day of building was last Friday, am waiting patiently for 2 weeks ( hopefully by fathers day - woo hoo!!!!! , beats socks & undies )

Also, has anyone changed over from the normal sound system to premium sound after they have received their car ? Is it easy ?

SJW, welcome aboard.

I don't think anyone has upgraded from standard sound to Premium after delivery of their car. I don't think it is financially viable. If it were possible I doubt you would be able to get it done for $900, Could cost as much as 3 times that value. You would need an entire new HVAC(Heat Vent Ait Control) unit, the upgraded speakers, and the sub and amp. Also judging by the cars delivered with premium sound having extra wiring, I think it may use a completely different wiring loom. So BIG dollars, and LOTS of work. Sorry to spoil things for you.

The premium sound is an option at the moment. The current offer of $500 for $1500 worth of accessories might be used to install the premium sound system. Am waiting to hear back.

I was told that the $500 for $1500 options was only for base falcons and not the XR's..

That said, from what I've read on these forums and other places, $900 for premium sound is extremely great value concidering what you get over the standard sound.

SJW Welcome.

I have the standard sound and although it does the job nicely I would definately go the Premium if given the choice again (didnt have the choice at the time as the car was on the lot), the extra's as KrasH said far outway the small difference in price.
