I went in lookin for a G6E Turbo a couple of weeks back, drove one and said I'd think about it and contact them.. I still get 1 call a week asking if ive found a GT or XR8 yet or sold my friggen SS !! and they call me either Scott or Russel haha.. needless to say I wont be going back to them for anything whatsoever, and that's apart from the total 100% blatant ripoff tactic they tried on me when getting my typhoon valued as a trade! Posted 15/04/09 06:28 AM Share Posted 15/04/09 06:28 AM Is that not normal Ive had the same stuff, ive lost count of the random calls from various ford places and letters with free stuff in them.I also instigated the sale looking pennyless, walked in after a days work in my highvis covered in dirt and dust. In fact my last 2 cars ive been snubbed/ignored by the first sales guy ive talked to, funny to see their faces after you make a few handshakes with someone else and then take delivery. Finally something I forgot in my original post was I got an 09 plate at 08 prices. The deal was done over a few weeks before and after new years.

I have also spoken to the sales manager who is just as bad and full of sh1t, maybe worse at least the sales grub is nice on the phone.the reason I brought this all up is that everyone says the car industry is struggling and that dealers are falling over themselves to get biz. I dont see this translating, at all, to the sales staff and the way they should be dealing with clients. it aint just ford either, before I bought the T I have driven the Mitshi Ralliart (took three dealers to even to get someone to talk to me - and then the dude was a tool) driven the SS commy - even worse. It took me 5 ford Ford dealers to find one to bother to call me back after making an enquiry. I hope they all go broke bar one or two that actually know how to treat their customers, feel free to mention names of good ones so I know where to get mine looked after when I get it (if the b4stard ever turns up!). Sounds like a BROmance!Yeah GFC aside they're in no hurry are they. A condition of mine getting a certain price was that it was pre-August stock, and had to be ordered and delivered during December.I ordered it technically on like the 28th November (I think the 1st of December was the Monday).I picked it up, after numerous calls to chase them up and them telling me they'd call me and never actually calling me... I drove it out of the dealership on the 22nd of December. To be honest I'm not concerned they haven't called me since the sale for a cuddle and some spooning, but if you ask me GOOD customer service means that from order time to delivery time, the customer should not have to instigate any contact at all.
