Water Spray

I thought about it last night, Instead of a fibreglass tank and check valve, a bladder might be better and easier.

The tank in the boot has a small hole in the fill cap to allow water flow to the pump. A bladder would just get smaller until empty and should prevent the need for a check valve. Could fit under spare wheel.

In Scotland....I think you can get Scotch in anything you want.

2L, 4L and 10L but not bladders are not cheap.

I did a DIY kit, uses a manual switch on the dash and a foot switch on the accelerator pedal that turns on at about 80% throttle. Haven't got any data to prove if it does anything but I enjoyed making it.

Nice 1 Weeman. I thought about pedal activation but went for a pressure switch instead. I think pedal activation would be just as good but maybe a little harder to install. What did you use for a spray nozzle?

Now that I have a gauge that gives me intercooler temp in and temp out, I hope to be able to provide concrete stats as to what the water spray does and does not achieve.

this has made me feel so guilty. I had mine all plumbed and wired, except for the earth wire. Its been practically finished since before summer. damn I'm a lazy ass sometimes. I bought the 4x4 and its been getting all the love :(

I'm going to finish it tomorrow night for sure, and I'll post back some info.

all working now, fairly pleased with the results although haven't played with the trigger setups. at the moment its triggering above 3psi.

I might do above 0psi AND TPS > 80%.

Your setup looks very professional. Glad you have it up and running now. Are you using a pressure switch?

Ended up using a tyre inner tube for the water bladder.

You can buy a fitting adapter used to fill tractor tyres with water. got one made up at pirtek hoses.

I've got it under the spare wheel, hose runs out through spare wheel well drain hole.

works really well, holds about 15 ltrs.

will take photos once I get the temp controller.
