Do a google search mate, they used to be big on rex's... I've still got an mrt water spray controller off a rexy for way back, they work well, just gets annoying filling up the water tank over and over... worth doing though if your keen DIYer

A couple of articles from Autospeed on the subject.

I had a MRT auto sprayer controller on my rexy a while back and loved it, you could notice the difference. I actually bought the parts to put on the F6 but never got around to doing it.

I had one on my car when I bought it. Was tee'd off the BOV and when ya hit 3psi would squirt water thru a 3 jets setup. Was adjustable to different psi. I found I annoying as they used an old washer reservoir so its as noisy as when you spray water on your windscreen but doing it constantly meant having to fill it up every few days. Real pain.

I had waterspray on my WRX and I think it worked.. I ran it two ways over the years.

One off a hobbs switch when it hit 7psi and one manual switch in the cabin.

Some Jap Spec wrx's / sti's had blingin water bottle in the boot that held 20 odd litres or something. Another mate bought a highly modded wrx straight from japan and that had jets built into the front bar for the FMIC!

Can you keep us posted as to what parts you are using to make this diy setup? What trigger mechanism are you using?
