im looking at 2

1, 4/06 bf magnet ute stock standard excellent condition, leather etc all the magnet goddies, 88.oookms $24k

2, http://www.carsales.com.au/used-cars/priva...bo&trecs=12

number 2 would save me money in the long run with mods etc but the bf has the ZF trans and would have more resale value plus im leaning towards a ute more than a sedan, spoke to my mate who works at heinrich he recons the bf. both basicly the same price whats your guys appinion?

As said mate,

You are better off going with the BF. But in my truthful opinion, I believe there are better, Bf's with lower Km's for a decent price. Try to go with a BF II as they have the Typhoon bottom end and have stronger internals.

The Ba looks the goods, but the trans will let it down. Unless you feel like installing a 3 speed box or something?

If I had my time again, I'd get a BF over a BA anyday...

Have a look at a few of these. If you want a better vehicle, bite the bullet now and bargain hard. you should be able to get some of these for not much more than the others you were looking at. I know you want a ute, but check these out anyways :) Remember that we are in an economic crisis at the present. Just bargain hard and you'll be suprised :flower:

The ute is my pick of the bunch. close to $32, but if you bargain hard, 3 or 4K is not unresonable for the seller to drop. That's closer to $28K - 3K more than the others. A fraction of the KM's, great colour and BF MK II with the ZF. That's the winner IMO.

Good luck mate,

Dan

No worries mate,

The BF MK II's are the best of all the BA/BF Range (I don't know how the FG's stack up, but I hear good things.)

Essentially the BF II T engine is the same as the Typhoon making it a much better foundation for modifications. It has stronger rods, springs etc, and is just a more solid engine. This combination of the Typhoon engine and the 6 speed gearbox make it an awesome car.

A BF II will hold 300rwkw with ease and will not cost as much as a BA to get there. (you don't need to worry about clutch/box upgrades/valve springs etc...)

Also try;

Just keep looking around mate, I'm sure you'll find the one you want (and with leather :spoton: )

Good luck,

Dan
