My last service machanic said diff bush was worn (explained why there was a clunk on gear changes) about 50k left in it if I baby it.

I want to get it fixed now and wonder if anyone could recommend where to get it done (had a look at the tutorial & I think ill leave it to the experts)

went to ford and they said it would cost $1000 depending on any other wear, ultratune said they would do it for $950 and I went to Pedders and they said they use a nolathane bush that's heaps better than geniune with a rear wheel alignment for $813 that's seems the best can anyone suggest otherwise.

you can do better than that.

in Melbourne I got quoted $650ish from HP-F, cant remember the exact price but it was something like that.

and I got quoted $450 from Herrod Motorsport and they said they change some other bushes while they are there

another forum member got it done for $400 somewhere in Melbourne too.

there has to be somewhere cheaper than where you were looking, try the place that was mentioned, but I wouldnt pay over $500, if your good with the tools then there is a forum post on how to do it yourself which is really really good and the part would only cost you like $60

Edit - I noticed you were in WA, I still think you could save some coin..

I have just moved to Perth and have the same problem ATM. Joined this site today to see if there were any ideas of places to get it done over here. Will keep you posted on any quotes I get through as well.

Seems to be a big variance in prices around the place. WA Diffs seems to be the go at this stage.

Bailey Automatics - $900 - $1000

WA Diffs - $650

AD Diffs - $800

Lube Mobile - $1000
