thanks rapid, its a hard decsion as price isnt too much of an issue as they are all within a few hundred $$$ between them,im not chasing hp numbers as the car will be drag orientated not a dyno car!!around 450rwkw through a powerglide should be enough to achieve my goal.it seems 1.05 will be the ideal ar to go with

thanks very much

Yeah, you can always try different housings later down the track if your not happy with the power delivery, but making the power you want wont be the hard part... getting the turbo to kick up and get on solid, usuable boost to match the convertor will make or break it, so choose the convertor specs wisely.

What boost do you expect to leave the line on?

yeah good call, still want something that's useable on the street, hence why im not bothering with something massive, just got back from a mates whos nearly finished his typhoon and he,s running a gt42r with a 1.22 housing which is going to be an animal on the street,my stalls only a 2800 so will try it first at the track and see how it goes, wouldnt expect to be making much boost at that stage!!

thanks

Hey Lee, just a quick point on Converters, I've driven a 3000rpm stalled BA-T on the street and it was still quite good, no big lag from a standing start unless you were really light on the throttle. Maybe try that next - should be able to give you some good spool with a 4L sitting at 3grand...

Might not be too bad with a bigger turbo, the back pressure won't be as great with a bigger rear housing...
