I didnt do a pb & I really understand the meaning of to much power & a lack of experience which was my undoing. With my previous power level a mediocre skid got me off the line with a descent 60ftr. It was still reasonably consistant with a couple of 11.4's with a 2 plus 60ftr & a 11.6 with a 60ftr of 2.2. This run still left me with a smile from ear to ear with doin fishtale to half track. Made for a good video. Couldnt believe the time it still did.At the last minute before they shut up I shot back into staging lanes trying to get one more run in & they let me. On advice from the boys I lit a massive fire underneath it with hittin 4th gear & leavin a bunch of smoke im sure anyone would be proud of. I finallly got full traction off the line & had a perfect run but the bloody timekeepers didnt time it. Anyway I know what I need to do to get it off the line next time im down there. Every trip I learn something & most importantly the car ran so sweet & I learnt something!!!

I didnt take much notice of the speedo either on the last run because everything happened alot quicker. Even on the last run I feel I could get it off the line alot quicker. Theres alot more there especially now I know what it takes to get it down the track. Its abit of a mission in tville was thinking of making the trip down your way bein that its in abit better nick. We did talk to one of the blokes there that helps run the night & he suggested & said it was ok that we use VHT if we can get our hands on it to, just get one of the boys to spray a puddle before each run. He could see I was havin abit of trouble. Do you know anyone with a abit lying aound that we could buy off them???The only explanation I have for the low mph is that I had to run around 12psi in the tyres which in the end didnt help because I wasnt getting enough heat in them anyway. I know how to fix that now, it can pull a serious skid. lol. Apart from the half track side to side run the skid was the most fun I had all night. Abit of a novelty as I baby in that way on the street. Cant wait to get back down there which im gonna try & do in the next month or so. Theres nothing like abit of practise.Best part of getting it back is that beau (xaho3) has got it in the body shop fitting the new phoon bar & bootlip spoiler. All the underbonnet goodies are goin on as well & the new wheels & boots are fitted. They have to roll the guard as they hit goin over some of the shocking roads we have up here. Looks pretty cranky from behind now. Will make sure we get some good footage next time especially since everything will be on & looking pretty. Over 400 it changes and it is far more challenging, not just the start, but keeping the car straight, going sideways when changing gears, and making sure you change at the right time rather than hitting the rev limit.I usually start at around 15lb in the tyres, assses the traction, and usually reduce down to 12lb, as wsid is generally very mediocre, and too much power becomes dangerous on a slippery track.Keep in mind the memory of that last run without the time slip, focus, and try to emulate it again. Suddenly it'll all come together, perhaps when you least expect it.Good luck.Brian
