Dave I was expecting abit higher mph than we did especially with the seat of the pants feel compared to last time. I didnt take much notice of the speedo either on the last run because everything happened alot quicker. Even on the last run I feel I could get it off the line alot quicker. Theres alot more there especially now I know what it takes to get it down the track. Its abit of a mission in tville was thinking of making the trip down your way bein that its in abit better nick. We did talk to one of the blokes there that helps run the night & he suggested & said it was ok that we use VHT if we can get our hands on it to, just get one of the boys to spray a puddle before each run. He could see I was havin abit of trouble. Do you know anyone with a abit lying aound that we could buy off them???

The only explanation I have for the low mph is that I had to run around 12psi in the tyres which in the end didnt help because I wasnt getting enough heat in them anyway. I know how to fix that now, it can pull a serious skid. lol. Apart from the half track side to side run the skid was the most fun I had all night. Abit of a novelty as I baby in that way on the street. Cant wait to get back down there which im gonna try & do in the next month or so. Theres nothing like abit of practise.

Best part of getting it back is that beau (xaho3) has got it in the body shop fitting the new phoon bar & bootlip spoiler. All the underbonnet goodies are goin on as well & the new wheels & boots are fitted. They have to roll the guard as they hit goin over some of the shocking roads we have up here. Looks pretty cranky from behind now. Will make sure we get some good footage next time especially since everything will be on & looking pretty.

there should be some good meets to go to down here over the next couple of months, be good to give your car afair track to test it out on.

I hear that the meetings are few & far between down there do you have any idea on the schedule for the track. I did see a townsville vs mackay track day I wouldnt mind goin down to.

For some reason its gotten bloody cold up here all of a sudden so if my new coils turn up in time after cooking them from running with the billet engine cover on, I'm gonna have another crack down the 1/4 while everythings still fresh in my mind from the trip a couple of week ago. I'm sure I'll improve but by how much is anyones guess. Fingers crossed the coils turn up!!!

haha chris I know. I was gonna take it off but I didnt have my tools to change it back once I thought about it. Its all good. Cooked them probably isnt the right word. Theyve just started to break down like what would normally happen. It still runs fine until you put it under any load.

go to there site, palmyra dragway, and they have all there test and tunes and proper meets there as well.they are very regular at the moment.

Great Figures on Un-Opened.

What type of Built Motor you going to put in Her ?

We've decided to go with a Atomic sonic tested block, nitrated crank, je pistons with upgraded pins, howard rods, racing girdle, all acl bearings, apr studs & billet oil pump. Gonna have a built zf box when theres been abit more development & then we'll go with what ever turbo the box will allow powerwise.

If I persist with dragging we'll address the rearend with the appropriate gear. The end product will take a while depending on the box but we should start buying the bits for the new eng maybe this week if not very soon. Its gonna be a donor just swapping the head & sump when the time comes so its not off the road for too long.

Well its on like donkey kong. The weathers perfect again & its cool. The cars running sweet as so tomorrow night we'll make the 5 -6hr round trip to tville to go to the drags. Cant wait. Its the first time ive ever been down there with the same tune/setup up in a row. I learnt alot last trip so my expectations are high of at least improving. Have been looking foward to it all week!!! Git a video camera hopefully as well so I might have some descent footage
