Iwish I could get that all fitted for that price. That would be awesome.

I just rang chiptorque gold coast. Their tuning is more expensive than elite and rdo. But they could do a tune and a don't quote me some monster guzzler air take for 2300. Not injectors.

Thoughts?

I've got a turbo side intake coming more so for sound haha. How many kw are deka 60's good for? Looking at getting it tuned once I have the CAI on plus injectors and dump/cat. People have said you need a new fuel pump with bigger injectors, this true in all cases? No idea how much power I'll be looking at with just CAI injectors and dump/cat.

if I was you juniowhat1

id go visit each tuner personally in your area and talk to them, you will soon get a good feel as to who will look after you best.

Let them explain everything and or show you. its much easier than reading on the net!!!

If they are helpful, friendly service and they know there sh*t go there, if you ask questions but get a bad vibe cause the service staff are crap walk away.

pretty sure elite are the shiz (pretty good) up that way.

trust me you will get a better understanding visiting them.

You don't have to buy all your parts from the tuner you choose. Buy them elsewhere to save a bit of cash and then just get them to fit and tune it.

Cut a hole in the front of your air box, buy a set of deka's for under $300, which are good for over 300kw and then get your tuner to fit and tune it. That should be around the $2000 mark if you buy a brand new xcal 3 and tune.

You will make roughly 300kw with those mods but your cooler will let you down a bit as it starts to get hot. Fuel pump isn't necessary but it is cheap and will help if you decide to make more power down the track.

I see how much more will a full cooler kit get? And what's next after all this plus cooler is done? Turbo mods?

X3 and deka 60's on eBay new for 1250. Seems like a good price

@jbjet.

Ok so I should look for my own parts? What worries me is that Im so new to mods wi wouldst know where to start or what to get. And you mentioned cutting a hole. I wouldn't touch my car in fear of doing something wrong.

Funny out of 3tuners. 2 said if I we're to do mods in stages. first 2 things would have to be valves and tune. Another outfit said air intake and tune. So Im guessing from stock standard car. id be best to do the valves and tune. so you reckon I should buy my own tuner and valves?

By the 2 outfits. They quoted me from 2500-2600k fitted valves and tune.

The full cooler kit won't necessarily get you much more power but it will keep the power consistant. You might might make 300 on the dyno with those mods but once the standard cooler heats up, so do your intake temps and your power will suffer.

There is a thread on what mods to do to your FG in what stages if you do a search.

Well since you put it that way. Don't touch your car lol. Just get your tuner to do it.

Both tuners are pretty much spot on. The only way to test if your valve springs will be ok is to run it up on the dyno, but until then you want know.

The prices are about right for supply and fit.

If you sourced the parts yourself and could do some of the work you would save roughly $500 or more but that's not an option in your case.

Ok that's not an option crap to be sourcing it myself. 500 is lot to save. Im glad the 2 outfits got it right with what I needed to do first. WILL be interesting to see how my valves are. hope In most cases some valves are ok to leave lol. Saves me lot of money.
