hey, I hear with the XR6T BA ll they are sensitive to mods, like if a full exhaust is fitted to the vehicle is mucks some readings up and doesn't let it boost or run above 3000 RPM, is this true ? it sounds a little innacurate to me but I just wanted to figure everything out before I start modifying my car!

thanks heaps

It is true mate, these cars love to go into limp mode.

When you fit a gull exhaust you'll need a custom tune too.

Could of been worse mate you could of got a 5 speed manual, built 4 speed autos have the ability to run a ten second pass and if looked after shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Oh and welcome to the forum.

thnx mate. Yeah Im happy with it, the quicker shifts with longer gears keeps me well infront of a standard manual. But who wants to play standard.....some very helpful ideas here and its good to know I'm not the only one with these questions

im after power but id rather take the safe way

but whats got me confused is what would happen to the car if I was to change the dump and cat or just the cat now without a tune will the car run right or will it render the car undriveable untill I get a tune???

Hi , I have a stock FG ute and im not at all worried about what the power output might be but I want to run low 12's at the strip .(I have a pb of 13.6 so far)

I also use it every day as a work ute so it will need to be very reliable still.

Does anyone know what sort of kw rating I will need to run these numbers?

thanks Ben
