Hello all,

I bought new globes and ive hit a road block... the battery.

Is it possible to change the bulb without removing the battery or have I just got large hands?

Secondly, this is the first time the bulbs have been changed since factory. should they be hard to remove ( as in connector stuck on globe?)

cheers

some skinny girly handed people have managed to change them without removing the battery/airbox, but I tried and lost a fair chunk of skin trying.

I now just rip both out in a few mins and easily get the globes out.

As for the plug, you need to squeeze it, as it is clipped onto the globe.

There is also a metal bar that is holding the globe into the headlight. Have a quick read of the manual if you need more details.

cheers... will try again in the morning when there is more light.

Ive changed them in a AU before and I didnt have as many problems.

I knew about the spring behind the rubber cap but not the connector.. the manual is very vague about that part.

whatever you do becareful not to lose the metal clip, mine came off and fell into the headlight assy, there is a nicer gap just below for some reason and it fell it and I coudlnt get it back out, my mate who was a panel beater we ended up taking off the front bar and getting the headlight out so we can shake the damn thing out, I know get the local garage to change the bulbs so they can deal with the problem, seriously ford, sif you couldnt have come up with a better solution to holding the bulbs in

its terrible.. like instead of it just costing $30 for a new set of bulbs, its now another $100 to get someone to install it.. I had a hard enough time jamming my hand intot the front bar to replace a blown fog light

I know mate, although the local garage are pretty good to me and only charged me 20 bux, then next time didnt charge me at all, I have actually bought a hid kit this morning so going to install that on the weekend then I shouldnt have to worry about it anymore :)
