Hi everyone,

I've done a bit of a search though the forum for tyre recomendations to see what I should put on the 6T now that the Dunlops feeling a big skatey.

Some of the quotes I'm getting from tyre shops per corner are:

Michelin Pilot Preceda 2 - $259

Toyo PX4 (assume that's "Proxes 4") - $228

Kumho KU37 - $190

Pirelli Dragons - $228

Does anyone have any updated feedback on those and how they went a few months later? - most of the tyre threads are a bit older now. 6T is still stock as a rock with 17's and unmodified engine.

Michelins are very good, but the KU37 is excellent value for money. Look into the tyres and their strong points, because every tyre is slightly skewed towards a particualr type of driving (wet/dry/quiet/soft etc)

Had the dragons on my BA/BF utes and they are a pretty decent tyre, sh*t all over the dumlops that's for sure. There are better out there but in that price bracket I found they were the ducks nuts.

They wear OK, but that's fairly subjective as if you drive like a maniac nothing will really last!

if u dont drive like a nuter go the Pilot Primacy and the last set of pp2 I got were $240 from jax tyers.

mind u the ku37's are priced well but iv never used them, I am going to put a set of ku36's on the back when I need new ones to give them a go, $235 for semi's seems to good to nock back.

cheers

I run Pirelli Dragons on mine. best set of tires I've had on there yet. they wear quite well as long as you have the pressure right. got em for $180 each. did some negotiating though :eyebrows:

Definately not whats written on the inside of your door!

38psi cold front and rear saw my original dunlops last 45k, with a rotation each oil change and a weekly tyre pressure check.

Sava Intensa (Made in Germany) went on the beast last week and are gripping very well. There also wider 245/40 17, where as your selection above are 235/45 17. About $200 per corner which helps.

Just dont have different sizes, that is 40 on the back and 45 on the front or this in reverse as some of us just found out the stability control and ABS goes bat sh1t.
