If you are a educated consumer, then you can go to these workshops and be able to negotiate a fair price.

Springs cost $xxx and the workshop is charging $xxx+50% I am sure you can find a agreeable price. Remember they need to make money and remain in buisness. You can always buy cheaper from a online store that pays no rent and most likely no taxes, super, PI insurance, etc. but you also take the risk.

yeah that's it just shopping around for the best price.. my tuner autotech reccomend crow valve springs and that's what they use, but will happly fit anything for me.. that's why I thought $660 was a bargin saving like $300 bucks lol... but like you say now warranty with parts if they fail, unless they are supplied and fitted by the tuner..

Dont quote me, but I think one of the spring sets mentioned already are in fact Comp Cams behive type springs.

I was quoted a lot cheaper price for them then this other mob that may be selling the same valve springs

and calling them there springs.

So just do some follow up on these they may save you $ and you know you are getting a quality spring

from a company that has been in the business probably longer than Atomic, Nizpro and Crow have combined.

Not to mention the amount of R&D they do and sponsored professional high performance machines mainly car

Automotive.

Another thing also, if wanting to purchase springs from other USA manufacturers, the US Modular Boss engine

valve Springs should be compatable concidering our 5.4 boss springs are.

You just end up with 8 spare springs unless you can talk them into selling you a set of 24 springs.

I've heard that fitting Nizpro's/Atomics and such cost a ton in labour...

We had a group buy on springs for about $246 a set, and I think I remember reading it costs up to $900 for supply and install...

That's over $600 to put them in? Is that right? If so, I'd rather get $600 springs that cost $300 to install, lik esome of the above stated....

In regards to springs, I have heard that the nizpro's do go soft, but The Atomic's sound like a good product. Crows are also supposed to be very good.

Roscoe - $350 is a much better price than $660 :roflmbo:

Good luck with it herTURBO. Let us know what happens.

Cheers,

Dan

If I could only get a place to fit them for 300!! I even asked a friend to do them for me and he said he wont touch them! Leave it to your tuner then u have a leg to stand on!!! From endless reading 800-900 supplied and fitted is pretty much across the board. Im going to try the crow ones but no retainers.
