What did these set you back?

I havn't bought them but was just considering them as an option!

But the yen died in the butt again so there is no way I can afford them now I found them on the yahoo Japan auction's.

There are heaps of good rims on there!

yep.

Erko, you seem to know all about what'll fit and what won't. Can you give a range of offsets, in 19" rims for 8"-9.5" widths, that'll fit a BA sedan without rubbing - or isn't it that simple? Is it possible to fit a 10" under the rear guards without rolling them, or is that restricted to utes?

standard offset is +36 with width of 8 inches.

I recommend this calculator http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp

in the front 8.5 in +30 works well will not need any guard work......with 9inch front under +25 required and might need a guard tweak. for 9.5 front would be below +18 however would need guard work. Issue at the front is clearance on the inside (suspension arm) so offsets higher than those listed risk fouling on the arm. The wider the wheel the lower offset is required....and this means more guard work.....the limiting factor is that we dont have a wide body kit for the Falcons! note that the lower the offset the more wear and tear on hubs/suspension.

In the back 9.5in +38 is easy, but most will need to lip the guard (depending on alignment). For a 10' on sedan I would look at +32 or below and lipping/rolling guards.

I would not hesitate to get the guards lipped in the rear.......rolling is a little different however with a good roller the lip will not be damaged (when just lipped) and its not visible, this will give another 15-20mm clearance.

this is all IMHO of course. .

Great answer, many thanks mate! :spoton:

I have 20' with +42 offset on front and back, and they clear with 245/30/20 tyres.

rims are 8.5 inch wide, a 9' wide +42 would not fit rim would hit so a lower offset would be

needed as described in bugster posts
