Hey guys,

Ive had this problem for over a year now. Ive got a BF ute, the guy that had it before me put a 3" exhaust but for a BA on it, so its only got 1 O2 sensor but my car searches for the 2nd one, because it cant find it it makes the engine light come on.

1st thing I did was take it back to ford, they flashed it out for me and I thought sweet all fixed, got home, went to go to work the next morning and I have an orange light in my face, took it back again they did the same thing, told me it was fixed and once again not to long after orange light in my face.

2nd thing I did was speak to another tuner about it, he tried to flash it out but it didnt work, he asked around and did a lot of research and was forever calling me saying yep got it I can fix it go down there but no luck.

3rd thing I went to BPT Motorsport in wangara, they said they can do it but I have to buy the Sniper Flash Box and they were waiting on software from america so I waited and waited thought f*ck it its not coming so I spent the money then I get a call 6 months later saying they still have my flash box and they have finally recieved the software, (now waiting for the RUDD bonus).

In the meantime I rang up mindarie exhaust centre to see if they could just drill and weld me a 2nd O2 sensor, they were really helpfull and understood what I was saying but said they had tried it on previous cars and it hadnt worked, so there goes that idea.

My only option that isnt really within my price range but it seems the easy way out, is to get a whole new exhaust but I want something loud and that's going to eventualy be able to hold 320kws.

Can anyone else think of anything I can possibly do to fix my problem? Or can you guys lead me in some kind of direction. Prices on exhausts would be helpfull too.

Any comments are really apreciated

Feebs

is it a standard cat or a hiflow cat?

A hiflow you are going to need to flash tune the car, but also fit the o2 sensor. The tune will stop the cat test being performed, but the ecu will still pick up there is no 2nd o2, so you will need to fit it even though it will not be used.

If standard cat, you should just need to fit the 2nd o2.

I can't believe its taken you 12 months to get this answer! :huh:

Lets go over this;

Your car is a BF. The BF has two O2 sensors. Your exhaust needs an extra bung for the 2nd O2 sensor. Lets get a bung welded in so the sensor fits, then we can do what we do with all of our BFs and turn the sensor check off.

How the bloody hell two tuners could miss this is beyond me...

I hope you get it all sorted asap Feebs :thumbsup:

You are definatly talking to the wrong people Chikt.... :thumbsup:
