Not removed all the way but pulled out slightly.The best way to do it is to get hold of the parts pdf page to see where all the clips are for the centre console and trim panels. You also need to remove the panel on the top of the dash.As there are so many clips, screws and alignment pieces on the panels it's too hard to explain how to do it without a picture for reference.Next time I pull mine apart I'll grab some pics and post them up.
