I'm usually off after half a minute and the car drive normal and smooth.The car should not surge at any time.Power Jet, when was the last time your car had a full service? If the oil is not up to temp, its still thick. When the thick cool oil goes through your oil pump at high rpm it puts heavy loads on the oil pump.
