If you want guys on here to help you out your gonna have to give a bit more info than that...such as is this car standard, if not what are all the modifications etc......

the only mod done to the car at the moment (funds are a bit dry) is a flash tune. running 8psi not 10. when I first put the tunre through it was fine. It has only really begun doing this the last month

mine does the same, pretty sure its just the rich mixture the computer runs when the car is warming up. I let mine sit and warm up till it reads at least a quarter on the temperature guage and don't get it anymore.

You don't need to sit there and warm up the car until it reaches quarter. I'm usually off after half a minute and the car drive normal and smooth.

The car should not surge at any time.

Power Jet, when was the last time your car had a full service?

Sorry, but that's all good and well if you only putt around, but we are talking about bringing the car on boost here - one minute is not enough for your oil to get up to the right temp. If the oil is not up to temp, its still thick. When the thick cool oil goes through your oil pump at high rpm it puts heavy loads on the oil pump. Multiply this by 6000rpm and you may find the oil pump gears don't like it....
