Got A Speeding Ticket Today

I am currently on 6 months suspension. got done 125 in an 80 zone. 8 points and $933. as far as I know in qld when you get your licence back you get all your points back is this true. otherwise im on 1 point for a while.

na mate I gon't done for the same thing 104 and a 60 zone, 6 month suspention and 8 points, I fought the suspention though and got off it. you will get your points back 3 years from the date you lost them(which is the date you paid the fine)

Got done last week for 121 in a 100 zone.

$270ish fine and 4 points off.

4 more km/h and I'd be walking right now.

First thing he said was "any mods to the engine mate?'

I played dumb about my vented Bov and he believed that I bought it like that.

I said "that IS the stock bov isn't it??"

He said, "yeah but it's venting to atmo mate, that's an epa issue. You'd better get someone to plumb that back in for you asap" lol.

I was surprised at how onto it he was.

Didn't notice the bald back tyres though

Im pretty sure that the 140km still stands and you will prob find that the 30km rule applies to provisional licenses holders or if you are charged with other offenses on top such as dangerous driving and have to face court in NSW.But I guess that law being what it is and what it always will be it is opened to different interpretations and created by government bodies to confuse us. After all our law makers do have the hungery mouths of judges and solicitors to feed.

30 and over is most definately a suspension, 140 which was actually 130 has been repealled.

makes a nice change - copper being on the ball about mechanical stuff.. most I've dealt with dont have a clue really and shouldnt have the power to hand out yellow stickers for things they think are wrong with the car.
