gregor Member 459 Member For: 16y 4m 2d Posted 25/03/09 11:47 PM Share Posted 25/03/09 11:47 PM (edited) correct me if im wrong but from the reading ive done on here if you have a bf2 (or post 06/06 bf1) auto then high 300s - 400 isnt too expensive to get to:Rapid v3 / Process West big cooler kit (a good big cooler, replace all pipework, add a plenum if you want to make power a bit easier)A good quality turbo back exhaust inlcuding big hi flow cat.Injectors and fuel pump (surge tank is preferrable but not 100% necessary to make a number)A tune, and xcal box if you use that method of tuning. The only thing I havent done too much looking into is the wastegate / flapper mod and actuator but I hear its a good idea.I havent put prices to all of that but I doubt its in the mid to high teens if you get it all at once and arent paying for constant retunes. The mods above are what I plan to do later for power and should make a tough street car that can perform at the drags, or track with some suspension and brake work.I'm not saying upgraded brakes, suspension, sticky tyres, wider rims, etc.. aren't a good idea but to make a power figure they arent really needed. They will make it a much quicker street car but dont contribute on the rollers. I haven't calculated things breaking but as far as im concerned it is something you need to be prepared for.
