Hi

looking at purchasing a 04 mk1 xr6t 4sp auto and wanting a noticable power upgrade.

after buying the car I will only have around 2k to play with. what are my options. also I would like to know how strong the gearboxes are and at what power level do they start having problems at?

I am new to these cars, so I may be wrong but this is what I had in mind

9-10psi flash tune?

centre muffler removed / catback exhaust..what size..I dont know?

phoon airbox

thankyou

depends what your after in the long run, 4speeds are sh*t for big horse power, if your chasing high numbers save a bit more and get a bf, if you want a noticable upgrade, shop around the site sponsers for some intercooler kits, rapid does some really good low price kits, give you enough left over for a tune

that would imply that he ever had it..

2k would go on edit + custom tune, with the left over get some springs and whiteline swaybar
