Check the for sale thread for a diff and turbo or you could try take it to another dealer

In Darwin, Only one Ford Dealer. And I'm pretty sure they put out a warranty warning to other dealerships.

  • Still have a turbo, it's just on a diesel.

Try Fern Tree Gully salvage, they usually have some near new wreaks in the yard.

Whatever you do, don't pay $5500 for a bloody turbo! Jeebus...

Get in contact with Mal Wood Automotive about the diff, and as others have said, there are plenty of used and near new parts available from other sources.

Here is a Turbo for sale: http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=55755

Take the car to your trusted mechanic or performance workshop and get them to do the work.

Had no intention of paying Ford's prices :)

I can buy a top of line turbo for that price.

Im checking prices and such atm, only problem being in Darwin makes hard to source.

Also, does a XR8, Pursuit, Tornado diff ute diff fit into a XR6T BF MKII ute??

All of the diffs will fit mate, just be aware that the 8's have different ratios to the 6t's

can I ask what happened for your diff and turbo to die at the same time?

Didnt die at sametime, the diff noise as been around for a long time just started getting a bit more obvious of late...

The turbo got to hot when towing a boat and must not of let cool down for long enough.

Also I was told there was a straight bolt on turbo that can replace the GT3540 that is stronger, what model is it?
