Lets hope they get it back to you like new again and that it's a one off fault with your engine. Let us know exactly what the problem was that caused the engine failure.Very dissapointing to happen to a brand new car.Slightly O/T a previous 2003 Liberty 2.5 I owned from new sh@t it's clutch at 5,000klms and Subaru came to the party. So it's not just Fords.Keep us updated.Yeah when the engine just goes bang that is a big worry, I was just lucky it didnt happen when the missus was driving the car. Lets just say shes very very angry about it all at the moment and me well I now wish I had bought a GT or a Clubsport R8 Oh well, lets see if Fords after sales service has improved at all since the last time I bought a new ford (1994)Will keep ya posted on what exactly it was that went, when I get down to the dealer tomorrow afternoon

How was the oil level at the time it spat the dummy? I would assume it had been checked before delivery and I doubt it would chew through that much oil in 900 odd ks.Really strange. At the very least a loaner of equal value!Ford's service is woeful. With H/O in volved, they should just authorise a new car, and thake yours back to use for research.
