They have a mounting depth of 64.5mm which I sat on 6mm mdf spacers which brings the depth to 58mm. You may have 2-3 mm behind the factory foam door lining but I wouldn't go any deeper than that. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong but this works fine for me. Good luck

Posted 23/03/09 09:30 AM Share Posted 23/03/09 09:30 AM You have approx 51mm from the window runner to the door skin plus add an extra say 9mm for an MDF spacer, so you are pushing 60mm of usable mounting depth. So pretty much any speaker you want, even a decent 6.5" woofer would fit.
sicklaser Member 183 Member For: 18y 2m 15d Location: Mackay QLD Posted 24/03/09 11:30 AM Share Posted 24/03/09 11:30 AM the PRS woofers are 67mm deep. I have them mounted with 12mm MDF. Pretty close to window but dont hit. Had to trim that back of the door trim cause the woofer hit it. Doesnt affect the strength or look of the doortrim once its back on

Henry Member 180 Member For: 21y 9m 19d Gender: Not Telling Posted 13/04/09 06:27 AM Share Posted 13/04/09 06:27 AM I tried to put Focal 570 CV1s in the doors of my BA. No go, cos they get in the way of the windows! I.e. 2.87" is too much!!
