Donating Members 1,655 Member For: 16y 23d Gender: Male Location: brisbane Posted 20/03/09 06:43 AM Share Posted 20/03/09 06:43 AM hi guys,my car is going in for a service on monday 60,000km.now I have owned the car 2 and a half months I still have the (statutory warranty)probably not worth sh#t,but when I was washing the car last week I noticed on 1 rotor that you could see the elliptical groove on half the rotor but not the other half!when I took it to a shop to measure the rotor thickness it was undersize on the "fattest"part of the rotor,I have only done 4000km in the time I've owned it.I rang the FORD dealer I bought it from about this and to see if I have any chance of a claim against the warranty?not looking good!for them to say it passed a rwc therfore I have driven it hard!am I likely to wear at least 1mm off the rotor in 4000 km??.its our family car not driven overly hard or done any track days.that's why I bought new dba 4000 rotors assuming I wont have any satisfaction from the dealer!!any comments will be grateful.I will take the old rotors to the dealer and show them.thanks your input.
