Need to get a security screen door for the front door, and need and idea on any recent prices people have had if I may.

Just had RAC out (SWMBO works there and gets fairly hefty discount which helps)

Got quoted $653 for a grilled door with S/S fly screen, and $705 for one with the hard, no-knifing kind of mesh instead.

Anyone had a recent quote/install done?

The prices you've been given are quite reasonable Dan. I used to install these things as my first job when I got out of school.

The price difference to the securi-mesh is bugger all compared to what it used to be, and considering it (IMO) looks better on the front of the house, this is the way I would go.

Hi mate. I just got some done and some new blinds. There was 5 holland blinds, 2 block out holland blinds and 3 security doors (single lock, not triple) all with the stainless steel mesh, not the thicker powdercoated stuff, and it all came out at $2500. So I think the doors were around $500 to $600 each :buttonit:

Price is a bit high. My ex-girlfriend got her front door done with the hard mesh stuff for just a hair over $500 fitted. If she was still speaking with me I'd ask her who it was she got to do it and let ya know. lol

And on that note... has anyone DIY installed there own front door lock? I'm assuming it's piss-easy, but that may just be the tetosterone talking...
