Sounds like some awesome hardware.

The concern most people have is that the boost level does not correspond to anywhere near the power you should now have. the plenum and high flow induction and exhaust normally provide much highed output at LOWER boost levels. Therefore, when the boost s actually wound up to 18PSI, the power should already be well into the 400's.

Please ask to see the AFR's and torque curves, as well as the BEFORE mods power run for you car to gauge the actual gains made.

a run down the strip purely top get the MPH would also be handy to get an idea of the actual power being generated.

definately some food for thought! sounds like a lose lose to me:P I know its a very poor choice for the current turbo, but once I put the 1000hp turbo/ fuel system in, would you still recommend the smaller stall? do you need to get a complete new tune for a new stall converter?

Even with a larger turbo, there will be a point where your stall is too big and your losing a lot of power, as you already are. I keep asking WHY? The gain you get from leaving the line closer to "full boost" is more than lost because of the power you're loosing. You're already loosing 60 odd rwkw - that's nearly 20%. Thems a lot of killer wasps down the drain.

For me, 2600 rpm on the stock Turbo is perfect. For my T51R and 500+rwkw, perhaps a little more would be better on the strip but maybe 200-400rpm. Your tuner should be able to do something in this regard too. You will need a "touch up" tune but definitely not a full retune. I reckon an hour on the dyno will be ample.

Whoever is putting your package together needs to explain their reasons for going down a certain path. Things like 3 inch zorst and 3500 stally are all wrong.

very fair call. so I think ill be changing my stall with the next round of stuff aswell then! the car was built (well all the hardware) at cv, and ive been lead to beleive they know what theyre on about. and the car was advertised to run a 10 sec quarter when I bought it, but I didnt take it to heart. I will get it there though. the exhaust is on the list. probably a twin cat, 4inch system. can you explain why c&v would put a 3in and a 3500 stall? I know its wrong, but it must have been put in there for some reason, coming from cv...

yer mate I agree with all the other people commenting on your results, they just don't add up.

I remember from the testing that Simon from XFT did on those atomic cams is they are only good in an extreme situation up high in the rev range, and rob power everywhere else... I'd definately put the standard cams back in.

Mate just to give you an idea of power to mods, look at eveyones signatures... look at mine I have 336 and I haven't done half the mods you have and torque wise im the same too so theres no argument there...

who is tuning this again???

You can see that from a dyno sheet? WOW ... I thought that it was all a bit more complicated than that.

John you of all people should know how easy it is!

When the light goes green put you foot to the floor, 10.9 sec later remove you foot from the accelerator and smoothly apply the brake. Pass go, collect your time sheet then line up to do it over again.

I dont think the power is all that bad for the setup you are running, the exhaust is to small, so you are probably running a little more boost then you would need to if you had a larger exhaust. Comparing your car to most of the guys on the forum is not a wise idea, like you said your running a high stall converter and the turbo 400 sucks abit of power aswell when compared to the standard boxes.

I just realised that this is tweakn's old car.. f*ck the power figures and go run it, you will be surprised how quick this car is!
