Can be tricky if there's uneven amount of cars ahead of you... you could count em and wait on the area off to the side I guess

We managed to do it a couple of times..

If there's 3 of you in a row you could work it so 2 could race each other and just swap around positions or something?

Not hard Kyle.

just get behind them in the lane, you may be out of sequence but you can talk to the guy in front of behind and arrange to sneak around him if you need to.

Just make sure your lid is AS/NZ-1698 standard or you'll be going home sad.

There's a decent vid on the Motorplex website that runs you through what to do when you get there as well.

11.6 with semi granny launches.

Couldn't get the Nitto NT05R's to hook up off the line if I tried to get some boost up before I let it go.

There's probably a couple of tenths left in it.

well, had my first time down the strip. I now have a love hate relationship with it.

so, details are -

  • 5 runs
  • all in performance auto, 40psi in rears (I want to know results in street spec)
  • 1st with traction control on, no pre-skid, no stalling, no passenger
  • rest without TC, 1.5/2k rpm stalling, skids and a passenger (55kg-ish... I cant see that being the reason)

first run details
(showing as it was my best)

BMmVtU3.jpg

The car I lined up against was my mate in a 5.7L Statesman with 400rwhp and a 3k stall. around the 3/4 mark I was pulling him back (see final top speed) but he had enough off the start to beat me.

bogged down at the start, forgot about TC as I didn't do a burnout first. felt like it had more in it, which is why im upset that my following 4 runs where all 13.1s. Couldn't get my 60' under 2.2s. Think a lot of it was me not knowing how to get it off the line. Didn't have any issue with traction.... well , not that I could notice. Feel free to throw advice at me.... at this rate I'm going to stick to 2 wheels and dirt.

so im annoyed that I feel like I could have gotten a better time, but I think its more so driver skill than the car.

Similar to my first time out as far as 60 footer goes. I've still only ever gone a 1.9 as my best 60 foot time.

12.7 seems good to me!

Yeh id be stoked with that. Couldn't get it in 12s in my xr6. What tyres you got Kyle? If u aren't getting wheel spin you just stall up more and more until you get it then you know your limit. I couldn't get under 2s without wheel spin in mine but I have sh*t tyres

He has an f6..

Oh...F6 should run faster times than FG XR6T?....I thought I read performance should be similar (cause baby turbs spools faster)?

Or maybe that's only for the 0-100kmh times... :pandalol:
