Its simple if your under 25 you gotta expect it and pay for the desired amount the insurance company's ask for... and they dont even bother if your under 25 with driving high powered vehicles... But again we are all talking about full comp right??? So yeah, that's the go, would risk going only 3rd party fire n theft anyway....

im 22yo, BA2 F6. I pay just over 1100, with a big excess of nearly 3K (I adjusted the excess).

the good thing about JUST CAR is you can mod it!!

I only payed $74 extra on my original premium to have a full Nizpro stage 3 engine (going in next week) and stage 2+mods (current set-up)!

gotta love that - only $74 more to insure a 400rwkw car over stock!.

I use Comm bank Insurance and pay $928 p/a. Im 24 but have all my accounts, house loans, house insurance, mrs car and credit card with them so I think that helps. I tried just cars and shannons and both a big no. I have never had a crash and have been driving since 17.

Yep, mate same with me.

When I got my BF F6 AAMI were the cheapest. I'm 22 with a completely clean record, they insured it for 1600~ and excess of 1k at an agreed value of 38k. Some places quoted me nearly 3k...

PLUS! Being under 25 AAMI offer a free 1 day driving course which gives you a 10% refund on your premium and 10% off every year until you are 25. I'm booked to do my driving course this weekend, can't wait to get my 160$ refund. :D

I think it's a Queensland thing. When I was on the phone to the bird she was really surprised how low the quote was as well, she also mentioned if it was in Sydney it would of surely been double.
