Hi all,

For those that don't know my car is presently for sale, I have a young guy (23 yr old) who is interested in purchasing my car but the major stumbling block seems to be the lack of available insurance for a decent price without ridiculous conditions. Has anyone got any recommendations as to who he can try for a reasonable quote?

Thanx

Big AL

Its simple, you pay the ridicilous amount if u wanna be a FPV or performance vehicle... Dont know if it exists in QLD but if your under 25, Just car insurance is the way to go in Victoria... Unless u do small bends and insure it under someone older and be the part time driver. Believe me there are bends and twists that does the trick... :) ( By the way im I just turned 23 and owned 2 cars so far and looking to buy a F6)

Mine is around 1600 with Justcar, I'm 23.

Insured for 52k.

Excess is pretty crazy though, they stack a car excess on top of an age excess, I think mine is like 1800?

Anyone under 25 manage to get insurance with Shannons?

I've tried 3 times over 3 years to get a quote on insuring my ED, and I got a different reason for not wanting to cover me each time.

I've got no license loss, no points, no accidents, no claims, nothing.

I must sound like a *beep* on the phone :crybaby:

:crybaby: I'm 24 - with NRMA - full comp and it cost me $1k pa. Excess is $850 I think, and I had no previous insurance! But I have a clean record of almost 8 years.

I'm 18 and my premium is ~$1500 but I had to take a huge excess of nearly $2k from memory to get it that low :(

It's still better than paying the $6k premium SGIO quoted me.

My policy's with AAMI, some where around $50k agreed value on the car & I have a perfect driving history & over two years of holding licence, so rating four.

Shop around & insurance can can be had for a semi-reasonable price...
