is there anyway to know if someone has actually repalaced any engine internals ie conrods or valve springs?

obviously a reciept is good but if u have to take someones word for it is there anyway to know if they telling the truth?

I was sceptical about where or not a workshop did my valve springs until I gave it a good hit of WOT and had no valve float.

Why dont you ask for the old parts that they replaced. The workshops I go to usually leave it on the passenger seat for me when I pick up the car

basically youd need to drop the sump to see if their BS'ing you mate.... or a compression test could help if the aftermarket parts change compression ratio from the original factory compressions.

Go back to the shop where the parts were supposably installed & get info from them.
