Sorry about the pics, they aren't great quality. These are the new 6 orrifice Bosch Ev14. They are "shorties" so the adapters make them fit the standard height fuel rail. Purple was the only colour they come in :( Below the injectors you can see the plug adapter which allows the factory loom to plug straight in. Our loom is a minimeter type and the injectors are USCAR so this adapter is needed.Fuel rail is from Mr. Parts and has a choice of 3 inlets or outlets. Again, blue was the only colour available at the time.Crow race springs and retainers, Kostecki pump gears and the new Atomic race girdle and mains studs are pictured last. Brad from Atomic has been in the process of modifying the race girlde so that it fits the FG and now requires little or no modification to the sump. Yesterday, the block, crank, head, pistons, rods etc were sent off for machining so in the next few weeks we should see the motor beginning to come together. In the meantime, I'm continuing to organise the 4L65e conversion. I want to get the trans in the car before the motor so we can iron out any issues. I'm looking at 2 possibilities for shift control. Either the Baumann Electronic Controls Shiftware TCS Controller or a full manual but that would involve a manual lockup function via a switch. Either will do the trick but I like the idea of an electronic controller which can be programmed in 2 modes.

Latest stuff:Bell housing still being designed and should have it cast in the next 2 or so weeks4l65E has been ordered and is being built as we speakEngineers are looking at the head and making recommendations on cams and portingWe are looking at the possibility of solid lifters. These will have to be made up as none are availableEvery corner we turn, there's something that needs to be addressed. We don't want to just make the 1000hp. We want to try and make it as efficiently as possible with the reliability of a daily driver. Luckily there are some good people making recommendations and helping me along the way otherwise I would definitely be out of my depth. As I mentioned, I am still looking at getting the trans into the car before the motor goes in to iron out any bugs with the 4l65e conversion. At the same time the motor build continues to move forward and we are looking at tuning on and engine dyno initially as we have access to one.Things should start to come together very soon. I'm sure the wait will be worth it.

I saw the head for the first time last week- looks good! Custom exhaust valves, opened up the exhaust port and combustion chambers. A couple of items are also being manufactured which will make the whole motor rev sweeter, cleaner and be more consistent and reliable. The turbo manifold head plate has been port matched and sent back to Snort for completion so the manifold and dump is coming together as we speak. On the trans side, the trans has been built (4l65e) but we are waiting on the pattern maker to finish the pattern for the bell housing. This should be completed in the next couple of weeks I am told, then off for casting it goes.I recently purchased 2 Synchronic 40mm wastegates and a Synchronic BOV as well as a ZEX wet nitrous kit.Getting there... The kit comes with jets for a 25hp-75hp shot. It's a great little kit specially designed for turbo charged applications. So it comes with a boost sensor which can be adjusted to turn the nitrous off anywhere between 7psi and 25psi.

We are using 49.2mm OD pipe and the exhaust ports have been opened up to match. Take a close look at the pics and you'll notice that on the standard head plate, there's only about 2mm on the outside of the pipe. So probably about 4mm of seal all up. We are adding 6 or so mm of material onto the head above and below each port to get a gasket surface. Nice work all around.
