What options are currently available for the hats that are non std?

If someone can make a stronger one for a reasonable cost, they should sell a few......

Was thinking of milling one from 7075 aluminium, but can't find anyone with a sufficient size ingot.

Spiko: Yes, I've thought about the rear end :) Seriously, too much. Tailshaft will be a custom job to suit the 4l65e conversion. Probably a chrome moly unit. CV's and half-shafts will just be selected from what' available. As far as diff housing strength, I have some ideas which I've mentioned before, about a twin bush setup and strengthening the cradle. I still think it's a step forward and would do nicely for people wanting to run 9's in autos. I have spoken to a couple of people about a custom cast hat. No problems there. But the issue for me is fabricating a master or prototype. I neither have the skills nor time to do that sort of work ATM.

mic: The Atomic housing is what I've got in mind, but I'm still a little concerned about longevity making 1000+HP. I suppose it depends on how often it makes that kind of power.

tray_182005: I wish! ETA? Maybe April!

Don't be too fussed on the hat buddy.......... I will have billet one availble to you within 10days...

Hey Trav. Bit of a delay on the valves mate. They are coming from the States and they're flat out trying to keep up with their own racing season demand so it's the old waiting game...
