Documenting/filming the build is a must Steph,

You can always visit it and relive/learn from the journey in the future, I highly reccomend you do this, and a little music in the backround helps as well ;)

Hey Trav. Most places just opened back up this week but I've made a few calls and things are starting to move gain. I'm heading to Eden this Sat for a short break, then when I come back, we'll get right into it.

Hangin!

Haha I wish! Things keep chaning. I've now decided that I'm not happy with the exhaust valves we've chosen. They are a decent valve, but I'm a little worried they're not going to cope with the heat produced when the wick is turned right up. I'll be making a call to Manley in the next couple of hours.

Hey Trav. The block went back to the machine shop yesterday for billet main caps. Even though we'd chosen a custom valve, I've decided that for longevity and reliability, I'm going for a Ferrea racing custom job. Made form what they call a "super alloy", it has a higher heat rating than Inconel. Should do the job nicely. I've also decided to go for a single groove instead of triple. As we will be pushing the motor to near 8000rpm, I'm being told our high rocker ratio tends to push the valve tip in and it can snap.

I've stared research into a possible twin diff bush setup for the IRS as well as strengthening the assembly it all bolts up to.

How's your beast going Trav?
