mercury rising Member 36 Member For: 16y 7m 6d Posted 17/03/09 09:57 AM Share Posted 17/03/09 09:57 AM Hey guys had my phoon for about 2 months now, previous owner of a BA xr6 turbo. I had my car Worked on by morpowa about 1 month ago. The work they completed was, Custom TuneNew Injectors And also done a cat modification, all for $ 2,400The result was 305rwkw, quite happy I must say.Iam now looking at jumping to the 400rwkw mark, the question is though what modifications would be needed to achive this, and can a 400rwkw typhoon still be everday reliable?Iam going to see them tommorow but thought any advice on here cant be bad. Thanks guys.Matt
koppers Member 119 Member For: 18y 1m 15d Posted 17/03/09 10:03 AM Share Posted 17/03/09 10:03 AM Rather subjective, but:Big cooler/piping + free flowing exhaust + turbo/gate modifications + boost + good tuner = 400rwkw

Also make sure you have a good tuner as you will be pushing the thing pretty hard at 400rwkw.Be prepared to deal with gear box/drive line and engine drama. You may make 400 and never strike a problem but your chances of failure/breakage will increase, so just be prepared to deal with it if something goes wrong. No point in having 400rwkw if it sits in you garage waiting for you to get some cash together to fix it.Lastly 400 is just a number don't be disappointed if you fall short. It's easy start chasing dyno numbers and forget to have fun with the car. Edited 17/03/09 11:04 PM by jimmy1234
