Removing the cat on your system loco will make it a little deeper in the note but not a huge amount. You will get more boost and if the turbo has not been ported etc it will spike its tits off...

I have the xforce split dump into single 3.5in stainless system, the cat has been replaced with a piece of stainless pipe with flanges to bolt in/out if needed (but haven't), my rear muffler is different though as my system was bought back in 07-08 when they had the twin exit that was restricted so I use a single small generic muffler which is 3.5in in and out.

The cat removal is def worth the little dollars but a tune will be required along with those turbo mods which my car has not had so boost is high at 18-19psi but power has been deliberately brought down to keep the engine together.

Go the varex also as they do work and as afaik they dont cause issues when cruising with it shut in silent mode.

Thanks bro !! Yeah I got internal gate welded with a external wastegate & screamer and eboost 2 to monitor the boost .. Got a boost cut in Aswell so should be pretty sweet .. Do u get any flames or popping from it ??

No flames or popping unfortunately mate.

Jetsnot,

My local exhaust shop hear in Townsville did it for me a few years ago now but would think any exhaust shop will sell them.

Hey all, been having dramas with my tune an have been told its wastegate and exhaust related.

I am looking at 4 inch dump into hi-flow cat into xforce twin 2.5" system in mild steel.

Had anyone used this setup before?

How were the gains and what's the sound like?

Much drone?

Thanks

Dramas are car is very laggy and struggling to reach decent boost levels. I don't see how a free flowing exhaust could make matters worse.

I just didn't want to spend that coin and don't want a loud droney exhaust as a result..

I must mention that the exhaust was found to be an issue by removing it and spinning the car up with the same tune and producing 35rwkw extra. Lag is most likely related to my wastegate flapper and actuator being faulty..
