they welded an extra bracket on the new one when they installed it to support it and havent had a problem since. Mechanic reckons its a design fault and puts brackets on any new ones he installs as insurance.

thinking of installing a 4' xforce cat back in my shed at home and have been told the rear section over the diff is a real pain in the arse, whos done it and is it really as bad as they say??

It's taking the standard one off that's the trouble on the ground...I did my full 4" on stands in the shed...can't get the stock system off unless you cut it which is what I did. 9" grinder and cut the catback to remove. New one is in a few pieces so it fits together no worries on the ground.

I did mine on the stands. The stock system is heavy. so do be prepared for a bit of a struggle by yourself. I would suggest a dry fit first before any sealant and the gaskets it comes with are rubbish. just use a good qual exhaust sealant. Remember the s bend only goes in one way, otherwise it will hang down instead of tuck up nice and neat.

I have the full Xforce 4inch system and no turbo mod is needed on the FG although a bigger turbo is always fun!
