G6e 19in Wheels

Hi All

picked up my black g6e t last week,anyway when I got home noticed rust spots on factory 19 inch rims,wiped it clean ,put it down to a one off thing.

Today I washed it and noticed the holes in between the wheel nuts there was rust,I put it down to rust forming on the disks then getting into the holes,checked the rears and no sign of this problem at all.

Itook the car to ford dealer and we discovered that on the back wheels there is a black dust plate or a plate to stop this happening,but none on the front .There was no other g6et in the yard and they didnt no if the fronts should have them or not.So they are going to find out and get back to me,.Ihave a funny feeling they forgot to put these on the car during manufacturing.

Can anyone on here with 19 inch wheels check if you have this plate on front and rear and let me know please.

Ours is the same as yours with only shields on the rear.

They stop dust getting into the brakes, therefore making them squeek, they do nit have these on the front as the brakes on the turbos are too big, the regular G6E hase these on the front, hope o helped.

Hi I put the dust covers on the front ,no problems 8 dollars each from ford.my problem with rust is fixed after I put the dust covers on the front cheers
