christiaan, youve got nothing to worry about.

Theres guys out there running ALOT more than 400rwkw on 60lb siemens and no problems, id say it was a bodgy injector or even a fuel pressure problem.

Huffin, reason I asked, is that I just got a set of these injectors installed so I'm obviously a bit worried now..

I'm running 300rwkw at 12psi, and the afr's are all good..

Hopefully everything stays ok.

If you have had it tuned tand run 300 RWKW I recon you would be okay, even better if your tuner supplied them, chances are he would have checked them.

Head came off today and low and behold piston damage.

No5 worse than No4 , only have good picture of No4.

All the others look perfect.

Also defect on No4 on the turbo side, No5 on the plenum side.

Barrels slightly marked so should be good for a rebuild not a complete short.

So what caused the damage - a backfire under high boost?

PS - did your PW bits arrive ok?

Thanks Bevan, boxes have arrived at Robins.

Had a run with no boost control, boost alarm went off and I think that it had a big rattle, then the next WOT run at the drags two weeks later got the smoke out the back.

Cause of the lack of boost control was the pipe coming off the actuator.

I take it you will be double clamping all the pipes and lockwiring them on next time?

When Eastern had the car they cut the pipe to the actuator, they reconnected it by putting a tube between the ends, no clamps nothing, no wonder it came off.
