Buggar mate but at least your looking at it the right way. Build the engine up & go from there. I always tell my tuner if sh1t happens sh1t happens. I've known from day dot that once I started tinkering with it that if something happened to it I could live with it & wouldnt blame anyone but myself. It would still hurt both financially & otherwise but that's the risk we run & sometimes it just happens without a logical reason.

Good luck with the mrs I know what mine would/will say when it goes pop. (smack) no words needed. lol.

if the engine was still running after the blow out, then it has to be bent.

if the rod broke, should'nt the engine stall??

that's the general consensus mate, if the rod breaks at high rpm it usually leaves a nice "crank inspection hole" in the block too...

Am I the only one suprised that this car was pushing over 400RWKW on a stock engine???

Sorry to hear about your dramas but seriously, 350rwkw is the max safe limit, any more than that on an unopened engine Typhoon internals or not, is running it thin eh!

There have been a few F6's that have gone over 400 (just) on the stock turbo and bottom end, its just like you say - running it thin. Des asked his tuner to lean on it, so they did. Atleast he was prepared to take it on the chin!

ther eplenty run 400+ on bf2 motors

surviving at this level is very dependant on the tune
