ive tuned my car on e85 and run 30psi boost, we are on the limit of the fuel. Although it does not knock audibly or on knock sensors it does begin to show on the plug when u are leaning on it wheather it be more timing or less fuel.

Killer fuel, ive alread maxed out 2 bosch 044 and 4x1620cc inj making 400rwkw. u need plenty of fuel, and for tose that think u can run timing with e85 its not completely true. at high preasure ratios it does tend to burn quick. it may not knock but it will definatly show on the plug.

Im trying to chase E98 if any1 has any. The problem with the e85 is they mix it with crappy fuels and addatives which do lower its octane so dont get too confident with it.

I luv it and ive ran 9.28@145mph on it with my sr20det

Can't see the point really. There are next to no servos who sell it, it uses approx 30% more which makes the cost advantage non existant, and the environmental benefits are massively over exagerated as the amount of CO2 released growing the crops to make the E85 basically destroys the advantage you get by emmitting lower emmisions out the tailpipe. The only way E85 will provide an environmental benefit is if the ethanol comes from plant waste or rubbish, but I'm not sure if that's the case at the moment.

And its also an unknown as to wether it may cause long term damage to your fuel system. Some people have used it for a few months and then say its totally safe, but what about in a year, or 2, or in 5 years time. Then what. Manufacturers make modifications to make their cars E85 compatible, what does that tell you?

Expensive Daewoo have talked about making the Late model camira E85 compatible, which will require fuel system mods. Hint hint.

Then there is the issue of it absorbing water if its not regularily used.

More cons than pros in my book.

There's no doubt it will make more power but there are other ways to do that, without the inconvienience of having next to nowhere to fill up.

OK the Oil companies must of f*cked you in the arse haha what your going on about is all a lie

I have had my 4wd running it for over a year and yes the fuel filter clogs heaps cause it was cleaning the wax deposits left by petrol

OK douchebag. You've used it for a year so that means it won't cause long term damage in say 10 years time?. Did you even read what I said.

You can't point out one thing I said and then say every point I made was a lie. Are you retarded?

How can the fact that you can only buy it at less than 10 servos across Australia be a lie, when it is a fact. Get a clue mate.
