hi people`s, I have read some posts about idle problems good reading, but was wondering if anyone has ideas about this? I have xr6t had for 2years, its 2002 mod 4 speed auto, dont know if any mods been done but normally goes real nice, as the story goes just thought id try give it a little more oomf, installed after market cooler (monza) was going ok, but thought id put original air box back on as was running with pod, then I went for a test drive well gave it a big boot all OK until I stopped for traffic lights then car was idleing very rough, sounds like it is running on a couple of cylinders, I have only replaced coil packs about 6months ago,, car has only 75 thou on clock, what would most common fix for this?

Did it only do it quickly after you stck the boot in, then started idling normally again? If so, it's valve float & you are in need of new valve springs mate... Wouldn't be unheard of seeing as your car is nearly 7 years old & you just increased air flow through your system.
