Guest Guests Posted 10/03/09 05:40 AM Share Posted 10/03/09 05:40 AM 4 speed slushers are never going to last with a bit of power behind them, built or not. Not to mention the difference in drivability between the pair mate...Take one of each for a drive & see what you think

Although you could spend that extra money building the 4 speed tough, the ZF is not only known for it's smoothness and ability to adapt to the drivers style, but guys are running big power out of them and still not breaking them...plus getting great fuel economy!(Fly to nsw and buy mine )
gregor Member 459 Member For: 16y 3m 9d Posted 10/03/09 06:07 AM Share Posted 10/03/09 06:07 AM should be able to get a bf for 25k or less. The earlier BFs are starting to come out of warranty now so expect their value to drop slightly (no one wants to pay as much for a car with no warranty) and if you shop around you can get a bf2 around 27k depending on kms, options etc. Have you considered an ex chaser? I drove a couple that felt pretty good on the road and you'd be looking at 25k for a BF2 around 18 months old with around 50k on it based on what ive seen lately from dealers in NSW, you can get them at auction even cheaper but id want to drive it first being a chaser. If you can wait and be patient it will pay off, certainly did for me. As for differences maybe you need to drive both as suggested.

Venom XR Turbo Member 63 Member For: 21y 3m 7d Gender: Male Posted 10/03/09 11:26 AM Share Posted 10/03/09 11:26 AM For engine's sake, if your into tuning, ide get a post-6/06 BF which has the long (F6) engine which can handle more power ultimately. But as far as the car itself as a package is concerned, I reckon the best bang for buck is BA2 if ya want a manual (coz it has strong 6spd over BA's 5spd). If its auto, you HAVE to wait til you can afford the BF for the ZF IMO. its a different league over the BA 4spd. Venom
