pain down the back of the leg like being stabbed.constantly.night mare.operated on in jan.still recovering .

have bulging disc impeding into nerve root causing same symptoms. Been told gym work will fix it, couldn't believe what im hearing, surgeon wont operate, say im too young, 37 for fux sakes. Been on compo for 5 months now. Physio, gym, Psych, Physio, gym, Psych. Bloody merry go round. Week away from second torcherous cortisone injection that doesn't work but insurance company says doc says you need it so do it or we dont pay you cause you ain't co-operating.

Wouldn't wish this pain on my worst enemy and its true that because people cant see the injury, most you feel like think your talking sh*t!!

had ALOT of motobike stacks, burns and bla bla typical teenage crap... BUT the worst pain ive ever felt was when I was about 14 I had my appendix out, the nurse came to see me that afternoon after the operation and wanted me to sit up from a laying down position...... well holy f*ck me, trying to sit upright from laying down dropped me like a sack of sh*t!

Had a cist the size of a golfball on my thyroid and the doctor thought it would be cool to try "suck the puss out" with a syringe.

Needless to say, I dont think he'd ever had a 10 year old kid swear at him and try to punch on with him so much in his career

2 weeks later, they operated and even had to cut fragments of bone away to rid the re-occuring cyst which I had operated on 5 times from the age of 8-10.

also 180 degree melted glue at work from the Box packer machine doesnt tickle when its coated your little finger completely!

Was standing on the beach with a 14m kite, 45kt gust of wind came and threw me 20-25 meters in the air, landing in a carpark which was 100m away, broke shoulder, ass bone and had a bunch stones from the road in my eyes. that hurt!

Your seeing the wrong surgeon or HE believe's (not you) it isn't bad enough for surgery yet!

Have you had a discogram yet to determine the level of damage?

I had mine replaced at 29yrs (31 now)but have permanent nerve damage and although still better for the disc replacement itself we are now getting another MRI scan and other tests to diagnose further.

I've had dislocate elbow,

Braces, dont underestimate it, when they tighten em feels like someone is trying to rip your teeth out for like 3 days

Slipped Femeral Epifisys (spelling) on each leg which is basically my femer which locks into your hip decided it didnt like its place anymore and decided to slowly unhinge itself.. Funny thing is the pain was in my knee and took forever for the Doc to diagnose.. Spent alot of time and money going to the physio cause he though that my knee joint wasnt straight and tried to put my perfectly normal knee back into place, I was young and it brought me to tears every time...

But the worst of em all was back pain.. Lifted a box wrong. Didnt feel much till I got home and them WHAM!! Im 6'3 and bending over to brush my teeth was a mission.. Happend a few years ago and lasted about 1-2 weeks and havent had any problems since (touch wood)..

Making me feel sick reading some of these.

I've never broken a bone, but burst eardrum, hyperextended knee at soccer and your usual getting hit in the nuts are all up there

well my lastest injury....playing soccer diving for the ball(goalkeeper)...hit the top of the ball rotated my arm so my palm was facing skyward.....and landed on the ground about 105kg popped the shoulder out....was rolling on the ground screaming like baba just grabbed me.....at the stage were I wanted to vomit.....

Went to the hospital x-rayed it.. broke a piece clean off the bottom of the socket and fractured the socket.......This one hurt more than the first post I made.......hands down the most pain I have ever felt...brought tears to my eyes.....Hopefully I need not update this soon....
