I rotated my two Metacarpels (bones in your hand) from the center of my hand to the fingertip in the middle and ring finger 180 degrees, So the back was facing the front, that didnt tickle. Also broke my collarbone, so much pain trying to sleep for weeks.. Have also bruised my Coccyx bone (Tailbone) so I couldnt sit down for a week :( All footy related injuries...

Bulged two disks in my back, pinching a nerve in my right leg. I was reduced to needing a cane to walk, was on morphene and went to the verge of passing out in pain several times a day for several months. Ended up needing surgery.

I've shattered and dislocated my wrist, broken bones, dislocated my shoulder, but the constant searing pain of the back was by far the worst.

Most painful injury i have experienced was fracturing a collar bone whilst playing rugby. Problem was i didnt actually realise it was fractured. It just felt like a strained chest/neck muscle. The painful part was a week later when i had a little over the handle bars episode on my D/H mountain bike and Mr Collar bone, who was previously weakend decided to pop out of my chest and say g'day.

No for the really painful part, i was aprox 20km's out of town with a mate and had no way of contacting anybody for help. My mate didn't want to leave me as he was concerned i would pass out. So i rode one handed back into town and checked myself into hospital..

my eyes still water now thinking about it..............

No my own personal injury but one that sticks with me to this day is during a rugby game, myself and a player from the other them running down a loose ball.

I hear a noise that sounds like a gunshot and look over just in time to see the other players lower right leg snap both bones mid sprint.......eeeewwwwouch

I snapped a piece of the ball on your femur that goes in your hip socket playin footy when I was 15, worst thing was that I dislocated my hip in the process and tore all the ligaments and tendons in the process. Was in hospital for 10 days and on crutches for 3 months. Pain got so bad at times in the hospital that the morphine drip didn't even help.

Recovering was made worse because I couldn't bend my body more than about 30 degrees past the horizontal for a couple of months, which made gettin in and out of cars and bed a mission. As a result have two stainless steel pins in my hip and a foot long scar on my leg with no feeling around it.

I stuck my thumb in a rotary, hydraulic leather staking machine.

Stripped all the skin off & my thumb nail as well.

Ouch.

I have a few...

Broke my collar bone whilst trying out for the school footy team. Got pretty much nailed into my left shoulder. Got up and felt a tingling sensation. Played the ball and soon after we lost possession. Packed into the scrum then oh dear.. It was broken. I made the team though

As with the others sleeping was un heard of for the first week. Also in that same week a German Shepard hit my elbow. Now your natural reaction is to pull away quickly and sure as sh!t that's what I did. I swear I pulled the two bones apart when I did that.

The next one is my kidney operation. The Op was fine but when I woke up all hell broke loose. I figured out the hard way that im allergic to morphine which caused me to vomit uncontrollably. So that with a 20cm wound on my right side wasnt cool

I was in a similar situation with my femur and hip, I had a bolt inserted directly up the middle of the femur to hold the ball in place, bed ridden for 2 weeks, not allowed to walk for another 2 weeks, crutches for another 3 months, not allowed to run for another 6 months.

well that is what they told me anyway, sport gave the call and I was back playing baseball in 6 months
