My_XR6_Turbo Member 282 Member For: 20y 8m 9d Posted 05/04/09 04:57 AM Author Share Posted 05/04/09 04:57 AM I gave VCM Suite Australasia a call who does a custom dyno tune but does not require a flash box, but it seemed a little expensive for not using a flashbox. Is there anyone else in melbourne that does a tune with no flash box? Ive seen a mate that went down this path and beleive me if he just spend the extra money at the begining, it would have saved him the thousands he spent in repairs....Its worth saving your pennies and doing the job properly , via a capa flash and custom tune.To make some decent power you'll just need the flash box, injectors, and a set of valve springs. And you'll be wrapped.that's my advice, but each to their own. All the best with whateva you choose to do.... wiresquire Member 266 Member For: 20y 4m 17d Posted 06/04/09 01:25 PM Share Posted 06/04/09 01:25 PM You might want to take it easy on the power side if you've got a 5 speed manual. From what I've read, they're not too reliable above 260rwkw. Depending on how you drive, of course.ws Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/55469-1500-to-spend/page/3/#findComment-856441 Share on other sites

These are the mods I am doing but I will be adding valve springs. What type of rwhp could I expect safely with this combo?
