This looks like one of the older g-sensor devices - similar to the RSM with g-sensor. My g-sensor used to read 0.2-0.3 faster over the 1/4 compared to what the timeslip would say. The road may also not be as flat as the strip either. So nice video but it doesn't actually show the car does a high 12 second 1/4 whilst stock at all. Revs are clearly spiking between shifts.Nice effort though. Guest Guests Posted 07/03/09 02:18 AM Share Posted 07/03/09 02:18 AM (edited) its wrong189kph or 118mph out of a standard car is umm, wrong. I think you've calibrated it badlyrun it down the strip, you'll get low 13's at about 103-106 mph Edited 07/03/09 02:20 AM by Ford_esky Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/55376-fg-xr6t-12sec-stock/page/2/#findComment-837141 Share on other sites

I know the g-tech gauage is not the best to measure times, Wheels and Motor use a similar product called a driftbox uses GPS. But having said that my old boy (Dad) had AMX 401 (Javelin) mildly worked and we used the same road about a year ago and the g-tech was reading 13.6 to 13.8 went to the slip and ran a 13.4 the time was better cause he got it to hook well, but not much diference.I suppose the only way to settle this is do a few runs at the drags, but AIR isn't open yet, so I 'll have to drive to calder in few weeks for the next street meet, I'll keep you guys posted. Thanks for the feedback. rspecf6 said: put a stopwatch on the launch to 100 if that's 4.8 then some one is pulling my leg..........................................try 6+ at best.......................... lol you guys are bagging the G-tech, then you rip out the old trusty stopwatch on video where you clearly can't see the speedo, lol funny as love ya work.FORD FTW!
